The results of the 2026 HIV Clinical Update: The New Jersey Statewide Symposium are in!
This annual event was held on June 12 at the APA Hotel Woodbridge in Iselin, NJ. It was sponsored by the FXB Center, in partnership with the School of Nursing Center for Professional Development and the School of Social Work, and funded by the New Jersey Department of Health, Division of Syndemic and Substance Use Services. Over 100 attendees, including nurses, physicians, dentists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, were welcomed. Participant feedback reflects a highly successful symposium, with attendees reporting that the program was informative, engaging, and well-organized, and that the content was relevant, practical, evidence-based, and immediately applicable to patient care. - >80% of respondents participated with members of their interprofessional healthcare teams
- >60% of respondents reported planning to learn more and/or implement practice changes based on the content provided.
- >95% of respondents agreed that the content was scientifically balanced, addressed health disparities and diverse populations, and was free of commercial bias.
Extended thanks and hearty congratulations to the FXB Center team for another successful program. Participants reported strong satisfaction and a high likelihood of incorporating what they learned into practice. Attendees also expressed interest in future content on long-acting injectable HIV therapies, stigma in diverse cultural contexts, community outreach, weight management, and dental health and HIV. The FXB Center is encouraged by this feedback and will consider these topics as it evaluates future programming opportunities.
