The FXB Center is the northern New Jersey regional partner site of the Northeast/Caribbean AIDS Education & Training Center (NECA AETC) Program. The AETC Program is a national network of leading HIV experts, whose mission is to improve the quality of life of people with or at risk of HIV. It is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration’s HIV/AIDS Bureau, under Part F of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP).
The FXB Center works with individual healthcare providers, teams, and clinical sites in northern and central New Jersey to provide targeted, multi-disciplinary education and training programs and capacity-building assistance to improve care along the HIV care continuum.
The FXB Center collaborates with and delivers diverse training opportunities to RWHAP recipients and subrecipients, health centers, community-based organizations, and medical and health professional organizations in northern and central New Jersey.
Training activities are based upon addressed local needs and are offered in-person, online, and via distanced-based platforms.
The FXB Center offers physicians, physician’s assistants, nurse professionals, dentists, pharmacists, and other allied health professionals an opportunity to work with HIV clinicians to expand their knowledge about current practices in HIV prevention and care. Each preceptorship is tailored to the individual’s skill level and includes didactic training. We work with each healthcare professional to provide training times that accommodate their schedules.
The AETC Community/Clinical Exchange & Sustained Support (ACCESS) Program is a coordinated regional effort to provide individualized longitudinal training to service providers serving disproportionately affected populations. The program is a unique integration of 20+ hours of didactic and experiential training. Participants are also provided with preferential access to diverse conferences, workshops, preceptorships, and consultation services offered by the AETC and other national and regional training centers.
Who should enroll in ACCESS?
ACCESS is open to physicians, physician assistants, nurse professionals, pharmacists, dentists, social workers and case managers, and other healthcare team members and allied health professionals.
Interested participants can enroll online by completing our ACCESS enrollment survey. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes to complete and the information you provide will be used to develop an individualized training curriculum. We ask all applicants to complete the survey prior to beginning trainings. Participants who complete all the ACCESS requirements will receive a Certificate of Completion.
