The regional partner site at FXB Center offers physicians, physician’s assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, and other allied health professionals an opportunity to work with HIV clinicians to expand their knowledge about current practices in HIV prevention and care. Each preceptorship is tailored to the individual’s skill level and includes didactic training. We will work with each clinician to provide training times that accommodate their schedules.
The AETC Community/Clinical Exchange and Sustained Support (ACCESS) program is a coordinated NECA AETC effort to provide individualized longitudinal training for minority/minority-serving providers. The goal of the ACCESS program is to increase HIV Service providers’ access to customized training and hands-on expertise, thereby increasing patient access to quality HIV Care. The ACCESS program is an individually tailored 20-hour training program for HIV service providers. It is a unique integration of didactic and experiential training. Participants will be provided with preferential access to diverse conferences, workshops, preceptorships, and consultation services offered by the AETC.
Training is available for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, dental hygienists, case managers, outreach workers, and other healthcare team members.
ACCESS is also open to community and correctional healthcare providers in New Jersey. Applicants may have basic or advanced HIV experience, as individualized programs are designed to meet providers’ knowledge and comfort levels related to HIV service provision.
Participants who complete all the ACCESS requirements will receive a Certificate of Completion.
For additional information on the ACCESS program or to receive an application, please contact Michelle Thompson, ACCESS Coordinator, at ccthomps@sn.rutgers.edu.
