Clinical Research and HIV: Working with Consumers
Online multi-media training for healthcare providers
The François-Xavier Bagnoud Center (FXB Center), developed this online multi-media training for healthcare providers to prepare them to support the involvement of consumers in research.
The training was supported by a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration, HIV/AIDS Bureau Part D Training and Technical Assistance Cooperative Agreement with the FXB Center.
This online multi-media training includes 5 narrated modules with embedded video clips, tools and resource information.
The content areas include:

- The Role of Community in Research
- The Consumer’s Perspective
- Sources of Research Information
- Supplementary Materials and Tools
- Training Evaluation
The content has been adapted from training materials created by the François-Xavier Bagnoud Center for the International Maternal, Pediatric Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trials Group (IMPAACT) Advisory Board Training, and the Consumer Research Training supported by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration, HIV/AIDS Bureau.
